Default VQ35 Engine Swap w/ stripped and tuned ECU

So we finally came up with a much better solution for doing a VQ swap than the AEM route.

These motors are relatively cheap and can usually be had with trans for around $1000. The downside was you either had to have a half a cars worth of crap to make them run electronically or buy a AEM, harness for $2650.

I now offer harness service for $500 and ECU tune / security / all unnecessary electronic stuff removal for $450. The only thing you have to source is a e pedal out of anything newer than 2003+ nissan.

Great work, Martin! Finally an electronics package to complement the hardware swap packages that are out there!

Man, if someone only made a Z32 5-speed kit for the VQ, I'd be all in!

Or a 6-speed would be nice. Whatever's cheap!

Can you speak about a tach signal and compatibilty with the stock cluster? Getting the speedo to work is well documented, but I don't hear about the RPMs much.

well, in the post he mentions motor and tranny for about 1000. So what solutions does Fever have for mounting, drive shaft, and shifter placement? This is really neat, however, I don't know how paranoid I would have to be of not having a key start, or any of the other "security" accessories.

That setup is amazing Martin. Can't wait for someone to drop one in. I'm gonna go buy a few scratch offs and see if I can be lucky enough to win enough to get the swap in my hatch.

Well obviously you'd use a key to start it. It's the same amount of security as any KA or SR. Ignition power and any pre 2000-ish motor will start.
