cams ?
which head is best?
*u mean comparing different versions of sr20 like s13 s14 and s15? i really wouldnt know although i would guess s15 because:
s13 makes 205hp/203tq
s14 makes 220hp/203tq (no change in torque only VTC (variable timing cam) is what improves the flow of the head to increase HP)
s15 makes 250hp/and i still think 203tq [not sure on that tq #]
but that is mostly due to changes in the turbo system.
i am pretty sure the s14 head will fit on an s13 but you will need an s14 ecu because it has to have the control of the VTC so if ur asking what motor to get for best head flow go s14 (or if u have money go s15). they do make cams for the s14 designed for the VTC.
s14 cams fit in s13 but
s13 cams DO NOT fit in s14

The best flowing head of all is the S13 head. It has a highport configuration almost identical to the B13 Sentra SE-R head. The ports are located high on the head and it is a straight shot right into the combustion chamber. The S13 high port intake ports and runners are much larger than those on the S14. This promotes top end power.
The S14 head is a low port design just like the B14 200SX SE-R head. It was designed for more low RPM torque and better emissions. The intake runners are longer and narrower. Locating the ports low in the head also disrupts the flow of air into the head. It is no longer a straight shot into the combustion chamber. The valve guide hangs down lower into the port as well further disrupting airflow.
The S14 and S15 engines make more power because of their larger tubos and VTC. The S13 uses a measly T25 whereas the S14 and S15 turbos are T28s with T04B compressor housings.
The S13 cams *will* fit into the S14 and S15 motors. You will simply lose the VTC function.
