Thanks for both the positive and negative comments. This was something I wanted Craig to do, for better or for worse I was going to rock it. lol I personally like it. It grew on me. Lmao at Tim's throw up comment. XD The car will be around the color your describing Dan, like a metallic purple after body work, Over fenders, conversion fenders and Aero I will actually get it painted the way I wanted it.. Paint is not important right now until those said things. Its function and how it runs is more important right now then cool aero kits and such.. and being a student and having a house now is a little more important.. I agree I like it better than white and the "tie-dye failure paint" haha

Oasho, yes I bought the shell 25% together, no frontend (kouki conversion fenders were there, but thats all I got) He wanted it to be a show car or something, and only really wanted the 350z wheels on it, so I bought it all for a "good price"

As long as the car doesnt look terrible and I can make on-lookers at Drift events smile or laugh its whatever;thats my personality.

Mike - Roller was considered, however I decided to let Craig do his thing on my car, I already have had many people compliment the car.

I'd be kinda ticked off if my 1-2 year old H/A was already oxidizing like a 500 dollar pickup truck.

Ford was the worst back in the day for that though. Orange peel + all organic single stage reds. I'm astonished that there was any paint left on the car after 10 years of waxing it after seeing how red the rags were when I was done. Shit would kick your ass but it was worth it not to have a faded Mary Kay Mustang.

I think the paint is completely inline with the body work on this car. If you clean up the metalwork, then maybe a single stage job would be called for. BTW, I think a single stage is about as nice a paint job as you'd ever want on a car that's built for running into people/cones/walls.

RB240mike, all those cars look like asshole. Ok, the paint jobs look nice, but the aero on most of them look like hell. Just say no to huge aero.

Lemme know when you're going to paint the car, Longfellow!

I think once the body work is complete, the flat metalic purple would look epic on that car! You dont really see anything except flat black and bass boat colors anymore. The flat purple would give it a hod-rod quality. Maybe polish the gullflames or do some redic color for the centers, like the Gasser Green Metalic eastwood has. If you need some help with the body work I'll try and help out in between my own projects.

And I'm thinking first week of july for painting my car but I'll keep you in the loop Ep. Its not going to be anything perfect, but I think I got the hang of painting enough to have it turn out decent (or alot better than my last try atleast.) I'm not looking to make a show car. I'm really leaning towards a darker metalic Wine color for my car. So much for keeping it an OEM color.
