Immersing myself in the world of Nissans
Im a newbie here when it comes to Nissans guys. Ive been a Mitsubishi guy since. My 1st car was a Mirage then to a 99 non-turbo neon......I mean eclipse. I was gonna turbo this car but with for the price of the kit Im sure I could get so much more on a SR20 in an S13!!!! I was thinking of selling this car and get an S13 and order the SR20DET from ARD Performance.

According to the website it comes with the engine tranny ECU and turbo. Now for my questions so please bear with me:
1. What else will I need for the swap??
2. Do I need to upgrade anything from the stock S13 to accomodate the swap (radiator shifter cable exhaust etc...)??
3. What year chssis is the best???
4. Who can do the swap here in Tampa and for how much???
5. anything else I need to know?
Thanks in advance!!!!!

1. What else will I need for the swap??
***intercooler intercooler piping fuel pump blow off valve relocate battery to trunk air filter clutch downpipe boost gauge exhaust seals gaskets plugs belts etc...
Look to spend around $5000 or so for the engine and related parts mentioned above. The price can go up quickly depending on what else you get...like a turbo timer boost controller etc..
2. Do I need to upgrade anything from the stock S13 to accomodate the swap (radiator shifter cable exhaust etc...)??
***You can use the KA radiator or get a JDM Silvia verion that has the upper hose outlet on the drivers side. You can get this at http://www.projectsilvia.com
There is no shiftre cable to contend with. The shifter goes directly into the tranny.
You will want to get a larger exhaust for turbo use like an APex-i N1 Blitz or GT Spec. 3 at least is best for a turbo car.
3. What year chssis is the best???
***All 240s are wonderful! But 89 and 90s with the SOHC KA24E motor are a little harder to swap. So get a 1991 and up if you can.
4. Who can do the swap here in Tampa and for how much???
***Ooh. Me me me! I can do it. I will have pics posted soon of the current S14 swap I am doing. You will be impressed with the quality of the work.
5. anything else I need to know?
***Make sure the harness is uncut and comes with the coil packs and power transistor (igniter).
If you have any further questions feel free to e-mail me at jwhitely2000@yahoo.com.
Good luck

My Friend Steve Baker and his partner Glenn have a shop that they rent and can do the swap. he prefers to do the swap into 89-94s cause they dont take as long. He did mine in one weekend only working at night cause he didnt get off work until 9pm.
the motor he got me only needed the following:
Walboro Fuel Pump
I/C and Pipes (starion i/c with some PVC pipe works temporairly if you dont have the money for the hard pipes rite away (i held 15psi like that)
BOV
Fluids (gear lube & motor oil)
Downpipe & Cat-back exhaust (and CAT if you want one on it)
They recomend an electric cooling fan however the motors that he gets have a stock clutch fan on them that work fine and they have belts (at least mine had a belt on it)
Turbo Timer is only like $100 and is good to have.
You can go to Home Depot and get that stuff to make a manual boost controller for like $10 if that.
If you want power steering then you have to go buy custom steering lines or i have been told that the ones off the newer 240s will work.
I didnt have to replace any seals or add anything to it until now (i just swapped out the stock silvia clutch for a 6-puck from clutchnet.com)
