thats all i was really worried about. i saw that they had all that hefty support in the back where the rear seats are, and obviously thier beefy doors.

I've thoroughly documented all of the bracing in the verts that ASC did for Nissan. I'm nearly convinced that the modified vert frame is stiffer than the coupe that it was cut from. Let's face it, its not hard to stiffen up a soggy late 80's unibody design, and the roof on these things is about as structural as the door panels. ASC boxed the whole passenger compartment with 1/8" steel plate, gusseted the rear, added frame connectors, and added fender braces. Plus all of these parts are seam welded in.
As far as weight goes, weld in a harness bar. That'll allow you to convert to lighter coupe doors, keep belts, and further stiffen the car. Add SR for another -100 lbs. Basic mods like coilovers can free up 20-30 lbs, too.
Cut the windshield down to 10" and paint it silver so that it looks like Romeo's car from 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet. Sweet.
