if it is ur first s13 learn how to drive it before you get more power.
alot of power is the last thing you need first off

gtfo nismoo kid. youre getting a ford ranger, you sold your nissan. anywho, dont go baller motor first. depending on what you want to do, get good coilovers, and aftermarket suspension arms, tie rods, tension rods ect...im guessing you want to drift, so if you want to do it right, get a nice diff. 180sx vlsd is great, if you want a j30 vlsd, make sure its a low mileage one, if you can. work from the ground up. same with your kat motor. bottom up. if you achieve your goal, and I hope you do, it will take a lot of work and trial&error. no matter what you do, something will eventually go wrong with your car. its 240sx nature. Kat is all about the tune. find someone good and reliable. just ask around nissan tech, like nismokid nick said, nissan tech is a very freindly place. just dont talk to Matt Vassalo. And whatever paul kersey says about you, dont listen. most likely hes being scarcastic, and trying to make you look stupid. but all in all were here to help, just dont be a ricer or a jdm drifting fanboy(ricer) and youll be ok. gl

Okay well im not really into drifting, i just Nissans 240's so i just want to make a nice 240 that is lowered, and so on, all i really want to do to the motor is getting it cleaned and new pistions, rods, and what ever else i need to replace.

Thanks +rep

i suggest doing a little suspension work first so it gets a good ride feeling, and making it look clean after you fix what ever's wrong with your 15+year old car. yeah go-fast stuff later on. if you did it sooner you'll get real bored, real fast.

before you mod anything fixing all the issues would be key. good point. but after you fix all the problems, invest in good coilovers, then rucas, then others in any order. but suspension first, then wheels, the paint and body, then interior, then motor is a good way to do it if youre just wanting to have a nice car. gl
