what should i do with my 240?
Step 1 ditch the sliding idea.
Step 2. Fix the shit thats already wrong and clean things up
Step 3. Pick the aero you want, and paint the car, properly
Step 4. Install quality upgrade parts, not a shitpile of garbage
Step 5. Enjoy

full on track cars can take a lot more liberties with shit than a street car. bell bottom kits and crazy wheel fitment look cool sliding on a track, but when i want to drive to taco bus, im going to ruin all of that shit. so it just doesnt work for me. function over fashion.

Man, you guys need to lighten up.
Reliable: Make sure it's full of oil and water. Check compression to see if it's even got a chance. Change out oil pan and pickup with new OEM parts. Make sure you're not leaking anything.
Sliding: Sounds like you just want to have fun and aren't trying to do 4th gear entries at Fuji Speedway. Put a diff in it and buy some budget coilovers like Stance or KTS. Find some cheap 16's or 17's in 4-lug. Rock out. You might need adjustable rear upper control arms... T/C rods after that. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need 5-lug and big brakes to slide.
Looking Good: Way too generic of a goal. Personally, I think a car with no aero and a drop looks great. Just get a decent paint job and buff it out shiney. Throw on a new bumper and some stock sideskirts if you want to try harder. Your underhood looks like a disaster area. Do you live on a dirt road or something? Purple Power + Simple Green + a toothbrush + a hose + a weekend = fixed. Don't forget to cover the CAS and MAFS!

dont matter how it looks....fix the car to make it functional, get a ur diff welded for at most 50$, coilovers(can find a decent set of like megans or godspeeds for under 600$), and a set of decent z brakes. then go practice in empty parking lots and open spaces... have fun
the fact of the matter is that everyone wrecks, especially when they are new to drifting, the positive is that as long as you are pretty handy with cars 240's are like legos and if/when you wreck parts are a dime a dozen and shells have gone down in price alot
wrecks arent the end of the world

Honestly you don't need Z brakes.
PADS and ROTORS thats the name of the game boys.
Size don't matter if your throwing on duraLast, Get some NICE slotted rotors(ebc imo) and some solid pads(hawk, EBC,)edit: throw on some stainless braided lines also.
like everyone said....diff, coilovers, brakes, and Imo get a decent seat, the less you fight to stay planted, the more you can focus on driving. Have fun, and due ya thang. Bro
