That's just the info that I have. I can't find anything in the parts databases about it, though.

94+ has different cam sprockets. Don't re-use yours if you go with an earlier swap. Just warning you of this because you WILL have timing issues. 95+ heads/fuel rails/etc. is basically top notch. 94-95 tend to be the "best" years.

Only parts i am using from my motor is the valve covers, upper plenum, and turbos. I have no clue what makes them special, but martin told me to check and see if they are 48p's.

30P heads = NA

40P heads = early TT

48P heads = 95+ TT

48p heads have huge intake and exhaust ports... did not know this till recently... if you do not get oem 48p00 intake gaskets but the 40p00, they cover up some of the port surface...

was talking to a real knowlegable vg guy and he says he pays top $$ for those heads if he ever finds them.

Damn, I just sent back a set of 40p intake gaskets last week or I'd have taken a picture of them next to my heads. There is a pretty big difference but it's mainly at the top of the intake runner where the injector sits and the wall in the middle.

This is of my 48p
