Default Name that spindle / Name that hub

Looks like whoever originally built my car mixed and matched from the Nissan parts bin........... I'm replacing wheel bearing among other things......

S13 junkyard car took a 30mm for front "Axle" nut, mine takes a 32mm, junkyard model had cotter pin on the axle........ mine doesn't. My spindle holes for strut mount also have metal sleeves in them.... that because S14 spindle strut holes are bigger than S13?

Don't I also have to use S14 outer tierod ends too?

So I guess I have S14 front spindles with S14 4-lug hubs??

What about my rear spindles you see in the pic below? S14 also?

Front Spindle

Rear Left spindle was supposedly from S13 junker, right rear spindle in the pic is off of my car

Front hub I took off my car on left......... junkyard special from S13 on right

You have s14 front knuckles with s14 front hubs.

Tie rods ends are the same so there is no problem.

You have sleeves because s14 knuckles have bigger holes.

The rear knuckle on the right side of the picture is for a s14 it uses a bolt

The rear knuckle on the left side is s13 with uses a nut.

That answers everything.

Are those gab coilovers in the background??

I see different part number listings everywhere for S13 outer vs S14 outer's....... is that simply because the inners are different?

Just trying to confirm the hole in the spindle is the same size on S13 vs S14 knuckle where it presses in.......

Any idea if the S14 front 4-lug hubs are physically different for ABS vs non-ABS or do you just install some extra ring for the ABS?

Want to make sure I order the right hubs from nissan the first time.......

Pretty sure it's this one since I'm 4-lug.......

S14 and S13 outer tie rods have different part numbers because they use different threads where they screw on to the inner rod. The tapers are the same, so you don't change them when you go to S14 parts.

Pretty damn useful post from karr
