ok so i just bought a s14 sr but its almost completely disasembled.. i can put the block together but im not sure if all the vvt stuff is there for the head.. the only thing i see taken off the head is the cams but on the head opposite of the cam angle sensor is another hole and it looks like something is supposed to go into it which i dont have.. does anyone know what that is? ill post pics in a few min... any help would be greatly appreciated

 

you should call zfever (813) 877-7600 and talk to the owner doug or martin(sr20 specialist)

That hole on the other side of the head is the sensor for the VVT. They are really not expensive, just hard to find. Go to WWW.RHDJAPAN.COM . They had em stock for like $25 the last time I checked.

Wow! Well, apparently, it has been a while since I checked. They are now $125 shipped. The price went up. Inflation sucks. I would look elsewhere. Good luck.
