I was getting pretty hyped up about this car when I first heard about it- until the final weight numbers came out. At less than 3000lbs it could've been a contender. At 3300+ it's an underpowered pig.

I resemble that remark.

If I had the money (and the ability to qualify for a loan in this credit crunch) I'd have ditched my s13 already and I'd be driving a new Cobalt SS.

nissan probably put all their money into the gt-r that nobody can afford and they didnt want to spend anymore on a cheap s16 that wont sell either. i think it was smart for them to deny making an s16 for awhile.

You guys should all remember that Nissan IS working on a shortened 350Z platform. They also have the turbocharged MR20DE setup they've been working on, too.

Actually Nissan is making a new gen 240sx/silvia for the year 2010. But it doesnt look all cool , but im sure a few aero parts can fix it right up. The horse power is to the s16 is 225ps which is actually going downhill from the s15. I dont know the weight of it yet though. But I guess there still in development so things can change at anytime. I like the 1st silver one, it looks more like the along the lines of s15s

did i read this right... the coupe is fwd and the sedan is rear wheel??

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 30, 2008 – Hyundai released additional engineering and feature information for the all-new 2010 Genesis Coupe today. The Genesis Coupe, and its rear-wheel drive platform-mate the Genesis sedan will make their Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show debuts next week.

there is no way it can compete fwd...

i has a new car.....and i probably could have afforded more. /dick swinging

for the record, i wouldn't buy the 220hp turbo 4 version. if it comes with the v8 version, that's the one i was hoping for. i remember they mentioned it before long ago, but i guess that will only be in the big sedan one right?

there will be other cars to pick anyways. my next vehicle probably won't be for another 2-3 years. i will be looking towards M3 or z06 by then if all goes well
