Default T25 Upgrade to GT2560 compressor ?

Anyone ever consider adding the S14/15 compressor wheel and housing to their standard bearing S13 turbo during a rebuild ?

Anyone think it would add much for lag ?

Yeah i've been looking a bunch online, found the parts, just makes a bit more sense than buying a S14/15 turbo around here, and a little bit more than what the most recent crazy wants for a GTiR turbo, which is what I wanted.

Option 1.
Used GTiR turbo for $300, + S14 comp hsng $110
$400, still not a fresh rebuild.

Option 2.
Rebuild kit for my T25, $100
S14 comp wheel and housing $180

Benefit of Option 1 gives me the 79 trim 53.8mm turbine wheel and .86
A/R turbine housing, which I like because im probably going to GTiR cams soon.

Option 2 Will cost a lot less, and already include a fresh rebuild, and I could easily opt. for the 62 trim 60mm wheel, or possibly even the 67mm, or 71mm wheel.

I'm not really liking option 1. GTi-R turbos are almost all old and beat. You're just going to have to rebuild it. Plus I don't like the .86ar. Option 2 is what people did back in the day in the Nissan and DSM camps before buying a real T28 was viable option, budget-wise. You know it as the Big T28. Do that. I'm just wondering how you're going to get the assembly balanced once the new wheel is on.

I was looking at the rebuild kit from this guy just for the reason on the balancing.

eBay Motors: T2 T25 T28 MAJOR TURBO,TURBOCHARGER REBUILD KIT USA (item 110300188321 end time Oct-22-08 11:45:29 PDT)

Free balancing with purchase of the kit, just send him the turbine wheel/shaft, comp wheel etc.

I'd really like to pickup a GTiR for a reasonable price and put the 62 trim 60mm wheel in there, but seeing as they dont exist for reasonable prices, think the 62trim 60mm would still be a good choice with the stock turbine ?
