UTI good school?

I took a tour of the Nascar/UTI here in Charlotte, NC about 3yrs ago and for 24k a year its def not worth it. Its way too basic for 24k and plus like 1-3k more for the "advanced ford training bullshit" and you can learn the same if not more from a local community college for 1k's less.

You dont even know me how the fuck do you know anything about my mechanical abilites? Please tell me any "real" builder/driver/mechanic that will give you over a 3 day lecture to someone on antifreeze and oil/lubrication, please. How many professional engine builders/dirt track racers/tuners do you talk to on a regular basis? My Automotive course, 3 day lectures on antifreeze/coolant/oil/lubrication; my instructors, lifetime dealership workers. My High Performance Powertrains class 4hrs TOPS; professional tuner Nathan Silveri, Tim Bowman 30yrs exp porting cylinder heads and building 6 seconds dragsters. But i guess there ignorant. BTW my classes where 10hrs a day.
And i would love to know your driving record and what dealership you work for. I have 4 moving violations and cant get a job at a dealership anywhere. All i hear is "Wow impressive resume we defenitly have a spot for you but we just need a copy of your driving record and a drug test" then i hand them my record and they say "where sorry we cant hire you". I have a spotless crime record, clean piss, wyotech grad, previous dealership exp, XAT racing exp, proficcent in MIG/TIG aluminum/stainless, dynojet use, roll cage design, AEM,DSMLink,F.A.S.T, and respectable refrences.
Im not saying i didint learn anything there, cause i'd be lying, but for the money i spent i could have sat down with some professional tuners/engine builders/welders/dirt track racers and have learned just as much. Or even sit down, open a fucking book, and READ.

I work at a local vw dealership. no crime or drug history and I have 2 moving violations on my record as of right now; one of which my liscense was suspended and community service was involved. its not 4 violations, but I don't have field experience as beefy as yours to make up for them either. vw academy nor my dealer even asked about my records anyways. maybe I got lucky, but it shouldn't be that hard to find a job in this field.

If you think UTI is perforance oriented then you are the retard.
Not to mention the school is annoying as shit because everyone, like you, thinks they know it all. Um yea you dont. Just like what previous people said.. people hate uti kids because they come out of uti thinking they know everything, yet dont actually know what they are doing. Instead we build motors, wiring harnesses, cars etc. on a daily basis. Working on things myself I learn more and ge more hand on than I ever did at UTI.

Actually no. They paid for my school... which I am paying them back for and have already paid almost half of it back. We just did it like that so I could avoid the interest. I have paid for everyone of my cars and everything that has gone on them and every bit of insurance on them, every bit of gas that goes into them etc.

Actually no. They paid for my school... which I am paying them back for and have already paid almost half of it back. We just did it like that so I could avoid the interest.
