i will be coming up with some money and im thinking of getting a 96 240sx.
i would like to do a s15 front conversion kit . i've done a little of my own research and i guess ill have to spend around $2000 to get it and probably a couple hundred more to get a new rad support welded and everything lined up. is this right?
does anyone know less expensive kits, or ways of going about this conversion that wont cost as much?
also where is there a good source for deep dish wheels that arent shit ass rotas?

$2000 just for parts from dealer, then you have to pay someone to do some metal fab on the fenders unless you want to get aftermarket POS fiberglass fenders. Then you're looking at at least $500 in paint + body work. Probably around 3k.

Non ricer deep dish wheels will set you back at least $2k

if you cand o any kind of fab/ body work it will be alot cheaper. if not then you gotta pay to play.

yep a agree.but who gives a fck if there fiberglass or not?hes talking about a show car looking thing.I got my conversion kit for 1,300.oo and it aint going no were man.pros is that its way cheaper ,cons need bondo.about rims??????you wont find good ones on the 4 lug.sorry you will need to convert it to 5 x 114 which means extra 500 if you can find it on ebay.lol.then the rims.......with the five lug conversion done you have the choice of entering our world.welcom to 17s 18s x 10 or 12s fcking sick good luck

If you want an example of an s14.5 done the right way visit zfever, the front end work on the car they just recently picked up and will be selling shortly, the front end alone has anywhere from 3k to 4k in it. If you wanna get done cheaper, ditch the rad support s14's you can just cut into the stock one to accomidate the lights. Get some reputable fiberglass conversion fenders, yes they will crack eventually along with your fiberglass bumper unless you get the oem bumper which retails close to 600 bucks I believe. Headlights buy them new, hood you can get whatever you want I went with a seibon cf hood, the oem metal hood is ideal though just for the mere fact that you wont need hoodpins.

s15 Headlight 700 new
s15 Bumper brand new 400 on average, I would suggest a full kit unless you are getting the oem one which is about 600
s15 Conversion fenders 200 to 300 shipped for something that will fit and wont give you a headache.
s15 hood 300 to 700 depending on if you want to go cf, oem metal, or fiberglass.

That pretty much covers the costs you can reduce some of those minimum numbers with used parts if you can find them. But do it once and do it right or close to right atleast.

Torrential didn't specifically say this, but he omitted the rad support from the list, it isn't needed for the conversion. The install is somewhat straight forward, align fenders to doors, then hood to fenders, then headlights (hardest part imo), then bumper.

Yes, I had my headlights right into my S14 rad support. If you get a decent hood you still won't need hood pins, but the hood will run you 700-800 bucks otherwise I wouldn't trust it to hold at high speeds. If you go fiberglass fenders you will need custom work to make them fit right, they NEVER line up perfect. If you don't care, then you'll be fine. As for cut and welding, this is the best option for a perfect fit, but it will NOT be cheap. I had a cheap ass Drift front bumper and everyone loved it because it was simple. You can get iot for about 200 bucks shipped on Ebay now. It will be fiberglass though. The price ranges based on how nice you want it and how name brand you want it. GL!
