if it only smokes at startup/idle, then check the valves out.

if it smokes all the time, could be a bad headgasket.

it could be running lean, check EGTs and AFRs

Why check the valves out for white smoke?

99% of the time, white smoke = blown head gasket. You are burning coolant.

How is it people still don't know the effects of running E10? Ethanol won't make your damn car smoke.

not valves, but valve seals. my car produced a white colored smoke sometimes on constant higher rpms because my seals were going bad.

because if your valve seals are worn, oil can slip into the combustion chamber, and then burn up causing white smoke.

or i could jump to conclusions.

Well turbo seals hold back both coolant and oil (unless the turbo doesn't use coolant, I'm not exactly sure how many do/dont), so coolant can be burnt in a turbo as well.
