sounds like the turbo or something in the motor

its not a noticeable blue though so being that he probably saw it from behind his car while driving of some sort, it could be many things.
-valve seals
-turbo
-headgasket etc.
how does it drive other than the smoke? does it smoke through every rpm range?

ok wow alot of input lol it doesnt smoke thru all rps at high pms its fine but if im sitting the idling and i tap the gas it will blow a puff.the car runs like a beast no complaints at all.it doesnt have a blue tint to it i looked for that.i figured it was rings but my plugs come out clean.then i thought headgasket but it doesnt run any warmer at all. as far as valve seals i havent looked into that but it doesnt make any valve train noises.also it doesnt use any coolant that i know of i did just do a radiator flush with that penzoil shit and im running straight water now.im lost with it im trying not to jump into anything big untill i know for sure

mine did the same thing. found out it was the turbo seals. they were leaking and it would only smoke when i get to a stop light or similar and puff a little. once i hit the pedal it would blow out then would be clear. i replaced my turbo and now it doesnt smoke.

well just my .02 when my sr smoked white it was coolant. thought it was the head gasket....turned out to be cracked cylinder wall lol. good luck.
