any ideas for a custom soft top or hard top for a vert? let me hear em. i need a top! lol

dude, im telling you that custom will be more expensive than pre-made. Not only do you have to pay for labor to put on like a pre-made, but you also have to pay labor to have the material cut and sewn into the shape of the top. Custom hard top will only be more expensive because you have to have something to get the shape, or again pay for metal and someone to weld and fab it. Then comes the hardware required to fasten the top to the car. And don't forget body work and paint to make it look cute.

You may get more opinions from NICO Convertible forum, heres the link 240SX Convertible Forum: Nissan Forums / Infiniti Forums - NICOclub, but as much as it may not seem like it, pre-made soft top will be best and cheapest way to go.

yeah dude, if you sift through the FAQ sticky, you find just about every answer you didnt even ask the question to. Members are super nice too, even though I don't really agree with most of their styles, but they are cool as hell.

 

Ok man thanks. I was looking on there last night but I didn't see anything about custom tops. I should probably make a new thread tho. Ill do that. Ill probably just end up using a tarp for now until I can save money to get a oem top or fab a good custom one. Thanks

if you want to fab in a hard top my recked coupe is sitting in the yard if want to cut the top off. it has the sunroof goodies too.

no i dont have a vert. my friend does, and he needs a top.

 

coupe top made to button to the vert mounting points... Its a coupe when you want it and a vert when you dont.

would be hella cool IMO

 

dont be a pussy and make it a removeable hardtop
