Default Who runs a clutch dampner?

Ok, talked to a friend of a friend... he said most 240 guys remove them. Mine in my truck started leaking(we all know its a 240 with a full frame and solid axle )

And well, Im debating weather or not to replace it, or to just bypass it. The only affect he said I would have is a stiffer pedal, which I want. So really no down fall.

Does anyone have any other downside/downfalls to doing this? Because if not Im saying bye bye.

it is easier to bleed the system when needed.
you get better pedal feel

and yeah, most of us get rid of them just because it is a pain to bleed it out...

good deal, How did you do it? I just was gonna use a 45* brass compression fitting to merge them... Will that work?

just find a bolt that will fit.

the best way to do it is to just get your hands on some stainless steel line and go from the hard line to the slave.

a bolt that will fit? We must be talking about 2 totally different things.

just unscrew the dampener and screw the two lines together by carefully bending the hardline to the soft line...its not a giant hard thing to do...

if its as similar as you say to an s chassis

edit: oh yea and makes bleeding the system a 3 minute job

Well, mine is hardline-hardline so I would need a compression fitting to merge them. But the same aspect, and it uses a sohc ka-with a 240 trans minus the tailshaft.. so its basically a 240
