J30 to 240 question
I see people use a z32 diff and j30 axles, but is it possible to just take an entire j30 rear (diff, axles, spindles, brakes) and bolt onto 240 with out major modification? and just use the j30 ebrake cable (since it has the z32 drum/ebrake setup)? will all that bolt up pretty much? Then you'll have a 5 lug swap and a VLSD right?!?

ive stared at them intensively, I dont see why not. The mounting points should all be in the same place, ive never heard of anyone trying it, i would have been interested to give it a shot...

The little bit that I've looked at them, they appear to be basically the same.
I don't remember thinking that mounting points or anything like that would be different. I'm pretty sure it is only gonna take a few minor things like the e brake cables and what not to make the whole thing work..
