i thought it was pretty damn cool. you guys know anyone around here doing anything like this?

 

I really like it but the price is a bit much with all of the rust/dents he says it has. There was a nice '84 near me with 0 rust/body damage in black for 400 bucks. Add the baller motor and suspension and you're still under 2500 bucks total.

 

oh, im not talking about anyone buying it. i just thought it was a pretty cool example of what can be done with them. i say forget the 2jz cressidas. get me a 1st gen max with a rb26....

guy in my z club has a first gen max Wagon turbo. pretty quick. and he's had it for yrs, since i first met him in 2000ish

 

A guy I used to work with in Orlando (probably in his mid-50's) had 2 1st gen maxima's and got me hooked on them too. He ordered a bunch of bluebird 910 parts and actually had a rhd dash in it, and an FJ20 w/T28 the last time I saw him about 4 years ago...

 

I remember back in the day, there was a older guy that used to come out with a white one, with a ladder on top. It was very fast too.

 

I know of the person of which you speak. I think he also had a turbo Wagoneer.

 

Actually his other ride was a turbo Dodge Caravan. They came stock with a 2.3L I4 turbo in some models.
