Does anyone make an aftermarket intake mani for the CA18DET?
You know, walking to California is cool but flying in an airplane is better, faster and more efficient. Choose your battles wisely, many have warned you about this motor and I would honestly take their advice. Don't be dense and be different for the sake of being different. That attitude only leads to your car being down for a lot of time while you sit and wait for mail order parts that you could otherwise source locally for a more popular motor. After all, certain setups wouldn't be popular if they didn't work, right?
Use your head or sell the car.

^+1, but i dont hate ca's, ive just been raised to stay away, there old, outdated, and just dont perform, idk, to each his own, look at it this way, the ca is for the person who REALLY likes to wrench on their car lol
you may want to search some british and australian websites or forums for links to ca parts, as they more commonly mess with those over there. the CA with a stock turbo is pretty much an n/a vtec motor, without the vtec. they are not too torquey but they can be beasts if done right. they're pretty stout, if you have it maintained.
phase2motortrend.com has some CA parts i think. it's just not popular in the usa because of the sr20 obsession (plus CAs are really like a 2 year run of production or something - for DE)

too some people being "different" is more important than making sense.
its like, if those douchebags you see at hot topic in the mall with shit all over their face, and trenchcoats in the middle of july were into cars instead.
Alrighty....well this has turned into me trying to find something for a friend to dogging me for possibly going a certain direction with my car. Here's my situation: the car I bought came with a rebuilt dual cam with 1500 miles on it, but it's got some issues that I'm slowly trying to work out. I know why mess up a good thing when I have an almost new motor, but at the same time, one reason I got this car was to finally go turbo which I refuse to do on the Crx. I've got money coming in May which I originally planned on using to take the Crx to Vega and finally get tuned, but swapping the 240 is becoming more interesting to me since I'd still like to build the b17 in the Crx & tuning now would be a waste. I dunno. I'm considering ALL options. Nothing has been set in stone.
