Default 240 Helppppp

okay so i got a 1990 240sx here's the problem

first it was hard to start. i got it to start and it began to put around at certain rpm's or mph. it also smelt like gas real bad. and my rpm's die out and the car shuts off. for some reason it idols really rough and at 500 rpm's. so i replaced the spark plugs and wires. i found out that the spark plugs had oil on them.

the spark plugs fixed the problem for a few hours. it did it again. so i replaced the fuel filter and i cleaned my mass air flow sensor and fuel injectors. the problem still exists and my rpm's still die out

WHAT THE FUCK

oil on the plugs wouldnt mean its bad. it means that you need a new valve cover gasket. do an injector test. you know where the plugs are on the injectors? if you can get the car to stay running, unplug 1 injector at a time and see if the motor stumbles. if it DOESNT that injector is bad.

thanks for all of your help. i think of two problems though. either a blown head gasket or my compression rings being two small. i bought it off a guy here on TR and he really didn't take good care of it. i think i'm going to do a compression test soon. i don't think it's a blown head gasket because i'm not pouring white smoke out of my exhaust. it is burning oil though

incorrect.
also, if its a 90, oil on the plugs wouldnt be a valve cover issue, if the car is still a single cam.

and the oil was on the electrode of the plug?
if so, sounds like a blown head gasket, oil blowing past, and getting on the plugs.

face it people, its the year 2008. all single cams are pieces of shit, and 19 years old.
