Default overheating problem

my girlfriend has a auto s13 with a ka and it had a cracked radiator so i replaced the radiator and bleed the shit out of the system. it never overheated before u changed the radiator or the crack. there isnt any sign of blown headgasket and ive changed the radiator cap.

my question is do you think it could be the thermostat causing the problem?

i can drive it for 5 to 10 min without any problem and then the temp starts going up.

the heat will go back down if you turn the heat on full blast but who wants to drive around al day like that.

im not new to nissan ive delt with these problems be4 but im stuck

and could use some help??!?

it might be the water pump. thats what happened to my old s13. mine had a cracked radiator too, so i replaced it but it kept overheating; then when my friend replaced the timing chaing he looked at the water pump and the fins were comletely chopped and coroded away. he bought a new one, now it runs perfect. no overheating or anything.

thermostat stuck, or still has air trapped in the system.
most likely in the heater core.

when you bled the system out, did you have the heat on? not really sure why, but it seems to make a difference..
also, our KAs are notorious for trapped air... so you might just have to bleed it a shit load...
