yeah, thats not really that bad at all. See how you still have those ridges, I've seen pans that you could put your hole hand into the dent and they had been like that for over a year... If you tend to have bad luck with that sort of thing, then replace it, otherwise, I don't know that I would even worry about it...

 

norachelhere, this is my first 240, and my first problem with a dented oil pan. im not sure what to do, i just dont want to spin a bearing becuase of a damaged oil pickup.

 

You would know if it was broken/kinked pretty fast. You'll be fine.

ok. cause last night, i bottomed out on the curb, and then we ran home in the rain and got my dads truck and pulled me out. then i drove the 240 home which was about 1mile or so away, is that more than enough distance to know weither or not i would spin a bearing?

You'll be fine. Aslong at your oil pressure gauge is reading normal your good.

Your fine, it's not a bad dent, worse case scenerio you dented the screen not a big deal it's there to keep shit out, if you dont have shit in your engine you have nothing to worry about, if you are worried cause you have shit in your engine then this is the least of your problems. Like i stated in my past 3 posts your car will be fine, if you dont trust me by all means replace the pan, then post pictures of you perfectly fine oil pickup.
