A guy just put one in a S14 on FA. He made an adapter and used a KA tranny too.

That makes what? 300hp, on a good day. LS1 stock with put out 350rwhp no problem. Mine clears stock hood, Has anyone delt with a pushrod engine in here? Simple design makes it easy to work on. Not worth all the work IMO

he already has that engine though.
for a couple G's i think its well worth it...
more bang for the buck than going out and buying a lsx and then doing the swap...

ok? for the extra ummm 2k you save on not getting an ls1 i think the lack of 50hp is hardly an issue. and yes i have worked on a push rod engine, I've had to install them and do a rocker ratio geometry on them, what makes push rods more simple? sorry but every time i get a new cam i don't feel like doing a rocker arm ratio check so my cam isn't useless. there can be push rods out the made of inconel they would still be gay. I'm sorry but fact is push rods are alot cheaper to manufacture then a dual over head cam design, cheaper..... not better. its going to take alot more money to get to 10,000 rpms in the ls1 then a 1uz. i like the ls1 but i love the 1uzfe

10k is the stuff of dreams...or 4A-G's and B16's. Youre not going to make an engine like this spin to 10k because the fact of the matter is that turbo or a procharger would be so much more effective cost and output wise. So lets drop that stupid argument.

As far as putting it into the 240? Do it. If you have the engine, and I assume you paid very little if anything for it, then go for it. Frabrication cost is moot at that point because you paid little/nothing for the engine. So you are ahead of the game already. All you would need to do is come up with mounts and a driveshaft. The rest is wiring. Unless of course, you cant live with auto, then its more complicated than just that. But Im sure theres a way.

Don't mind him. He's just jealous that he doesn't have a Toyota motor in his wanna-be Toyota RSP painted 240!

umm no? this engine CAN and HAS reached 10000 rpms mostly crazy ass aussies, ha! what will forced induction have to do with limiting rpm capabilities? please i would love to know. a supercharger i could see cause it's using a belt thats relying on the crankshaft assembly, but turbo... no.
