Picking up swastika wheel set #2 from Steve today, getting the shitty tires removed so I can finish re-finishing them (confusing, no?). Since I'm a glutton for punishment, I'll probably wake up @ 8am tomorrow and polish them until Flugtag.

 

anybody have any suggestions for putting the tranny in? the mother fucker doesnt want to go in

 

you doing it without a lift? i used 2 floor jacks and had 2 people help control them, turned the tranny almost upside down, also i put a block of wood on another jack and lifted the front of the motor up by the very front of the oil pan

you could also loosen your motor mounts and get the same effect, having the motor tilt backwards making it easier to get the input shaft to slide in

 

i tried that lol. i almost have it in, like the shaft is in a little bit but wont go in all the way
