Datsun Dreaming
Ok epstein, now onto you finding out what exactly is needed to get this to work, who wants to be the gunea pig.
I'll make a pnp harness for the setup, chris has to declare needed components, and do tuning
Benefits:
pulse width controlled idle
fan control
possible boost control
big LS1 throttle body ?

But why? For any SR, I'd run a WC ECU to gain e-fan and boost control capabilities. This includes a VE by running a 20V CAS and single solenoid. You can run the same thing on a KA by swapping the wheel to a DET one and running coilpacks. Like omgosh is saying, I would go this direction because I know the ECU and code so well.
But what I'm really interested in now is putting a Z33 e-throttle on an SR, adding ABS hubs, and running a Motec to gain a real traction control / launch control. Imagine these traction limited turds with a premium ECU feathering the throttle for you.
...we'll just put that on the RWD QR25HR 3071 twin-scroll S14 that I'll never build.
And that ChaseBays solenoid; I had the exact same thing down to the Deutsch connector on my S14 when experimenting. Except that I bought that MAC solenoid from Fright Props for $12 and the connector for $3 on ebay.

I'd say that's about 2 pairs too many. CFRC is super smooth, and it'll most likely be raining. Desoto is an infinite times rougher, and the last event it was probably wet for only 4 of my runs, and I stayed on the same tires all day, and drove home on them. And I probably got more runs than you would get at cfrc.
Not surprising! Everything on that site is over priced, I was only on it to look at the mil spec connector but even that is like 300 bucks, f that

Great, yah it is raining like a bitch here. 2 of those tires are decent ones for the front tho. So I have 2 SE's with all seasons and 2 Racing Harts with toe-ed up tires lol.
I guess Ill leave the other pair of SE's at home and try to scoop a passenger or something.

Valve springs are in. Tomorrow installing head gasket, timing and dropping the sucker back in.
Anybody have any tricks for bleeding lifters..? My finger tips hurt.

fill a small cup with oil. I have used tuperware or a spray can lid. Take smallest allen key and stick it down in the top hole. Submerge everything and pump the allen key into the lifter until bubbles stop coming out. The body will compress when you're doing this. It will eventually get really firm, which means you're done.

My thumbs hurt. Tomorrow: timing!
Some kid tried to convince me his Protege ran a 10 second quarter mile with a trap speed of 96mph...
Apparently it has a 60 trim with a .63 hot side tuned on 550cc injectors.
