Boost controller spiked 28.4psi, the car is still running.

I need to find out what caused it, so it doesnt happen again. It was running a constant 9.4psi, until last night.

Thats cute chris, only the info I was referring to was specificially NOT that, its cool you want to be full of shit and compare your s chassis to a corvette, thats cute if it makes you feel better, most of the conversation was from PM's, and was specifically a 400 rwhp LS1 dyno graph, and 3.54, and 3.69 gears, comparing the MN12 and MM6 transmission ratios, in an S chassis.

You want to play hide the numbers, thats all you, whatever makes you feel better.

BTW though, you've got non Z06 gearbox ratios in your little spreadsheet, so its wrong

Ooops hard numbers again.

Oh and chris, there are calculators available to perform the same type of calculations, here is some nice data, you can physics this.

Using the dyno data from your post, of that Z06 dyno graph, and your SR setup, same vehicle, same tire size, same driver weight.

Here is the calculator if anyone wants to use it, http://vlsicad.ucsd.edu/~sharma/Potpourri/perf_est.html

"your" car using your dyno graph, your SR gear ratios, 4.08 rear, 245/40-17

Top speed 193 MPH
30-60 MPH 2.05
Start in 1st, shift @8403
30-90 MPH 5s
1-2@8403
2-3@8207
30-120 MPH 9.25s
60-90 MPH 2.9s
60-120 7.15s

Same vehicle, the corvettes dyno sheet, MN12 ratios, 3.54 rear differential

30-60 MPH 1.8s
30-90 MPH 1.75s
30-120 MPH 9.15
60-90 MPH 2.65
60-120 MPH 7.05

Cruising rshared_pm @ 80 MPH 3372 RPM for the SR car
The ls1 car ? 2157 RPM

Top speed on the SR car ? 193 MPH
The "redneck v8" 202 MPH

oh and the numbers are fudged in your cars favor just a hair, your dyno graph ended at 7800, so to make sure it was fair, it thinks you made the power you made @7800, at 8000 on its plot, so its figuring you in at 443 HP, the LSx at 446 HP

Man, what a difference 3 HP makes huh ?

Oh and for the fun of why its really gonna happen:

Shifts : the SR car ..................................LSx car

30-60 mph shift to 2nd.............................. Start in 2nd, dont shift
@8403 RPM

30-90 MPH 2nd @ 8403 ...........shift to 3rd @ 7k
3rd @ 8407 ...........................shift to 4th @ 7k
4th @ 8120

All that high technology, and extra shifting, to lose, thats bad.

The gearing and speeds work just the same autox, road race, etc, you go ahead and spend all that time rowing gears, meanwhile similar HP V8 car is doing a lot less shifting and probably performing better
