Also, the car has decided to run like shit again. It pretty much refused to start and only did start when I had the gas pinned to the floor. Tomorrow, it'll start just fine just to further piss me off. This is just fine, I need to take the car off the road for some upgrades anyway.

drove the car a little bit more tonight, kyle helped to double check the timing and its in the clear. leaking coolant from behind the head somewhere now so whooray for that. gotta fix my vacuum and stuff to help with my idle issue and hopefully get it on the road . little steps haha
