Nope, using the factory main caps for that block. But Im using ACL race bearings.

Would the ACLs need a line hone? Glenn said they do, but I do not know.

A line hone is just going to make the clearance larger, so you'll need oversized bearings.

OT: Realised my miss/hiccup is ignition related.

Shouldnt unless you had damaged to the cap or block.. If there is no scaring or anything you should be able to just get bearings.. Line hone does make it bigger.. the reason why one would usually want to line hone something would be because of damage to a cap or the block or you changed out a cap and you need to make it true again.. So to answer your question, no you shouldnt have to get a line hone unless there is damage to it or a cap has been swapped out.

The only reason you'd need a line hone is to correct a block straightness issue, which would affect any bearing you put in there.

What do you guys think about the possibility that the crank is bent, throwing off tolerances?

Its always possible.. At the same time it would probably show wear on the mains bearings.. If the block was eating up main bearings then deffinatly should get the whole setup checked out..
