weight question
yeah, i know its a basic question but,
What is the "average" weight of a stock s13 coupe (dohc)?
basically, anyone ever get their stock (or close to) coupe on a scale?
I've not been able to find a consistant answer. My car's been painted so many times by the previous owner that my sticker is gone...
thanks

you actually got it on the scale?
gross weight is the weight of the vehicle plus loaded to capacity, so if it is a 4 seater, with 5 cubic feet of trunk/storage, you've basically got to fill all of that. i think they use 180 pounds per person and 10 pounds per cubic foot of storage... I think...
curb weight is basically the "dry" weight
gross weight is basically the "loaded" weight
most of us are in between once include driver and what not. (unless you've got a major system with like 2 18" subs and a million watts of amp and what not... ok maybe on that extreme...

I know what gross weight is, but my sticker on the side of the door, isn't there anymore. Like I said, I believe it's in the upper 3000lb range.

yeah, I was wondering about the gross weight.
the curb weight is good, but to get a better idea of whats really going on, you need the gross weight too. you figure somewhere in the middle is where we usually are with just us driving and what not like that...
superluminal, i didn't mean to offend...
