I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these turbo kits and what would be the negatives to buying such an item. Thank you.

if you're comfortable going with an off brand turbo, and intercooler, go ahead. good deal for all that stuff, but i can't say that i'd do that, or trust that. I'd just spend the extra money on an s15 turbo, and a name brand fmic that comes with pipes. doesn't the ssac manifold crack all the time?!?

i'd trust their exhaust, but the manifold endures a lot worse heat, so the weaker welds will crack there.

 

get the welds reinforced. done

 

its chinese garbage.spend the extra money to at least get a greddy cast manifold

 

just keep in mind, two things
one, you get what you pay for
two, good, cheap, and fast... you can only pick two...

this set is cheap and right now, so chances are, it isn't going to be very good...
so in a nutshell, this little set up will make you faster, right now, but you'll be hunting problems with it all the time. nothing that can't be fixed, but still its going to be a hassle...

my personal preference is to buy parts that I won't out grow (soon) like that intercooler. yeah, it'll be great for the next few months, but you'll want faster, and you'll have to upgrade the intercooler, in essence wasting your money on this one...
