Need some diagnosis please
My battery and brake light stays on even when I drive and stays on until car is shut off. The problem started yesterday. I replaced my ground wire (it looked a little corroded)to my starter (starter itself is 2yrs old) , replaced alternator last weekend with a new one (voltage read around 10amps when tested), my ecu was rebuilt two years ago, and also went through two new batteries this year alone and also a new ignition switch put in about a year ago.
The car does have a problem starting upon initial start up and I have to sit and wait for about a minute before it turns over. Also I've had to recharge a fairly new battery I purchsed in Dec. twice within the last two weeks. It seems something is causing my charging system to drain down but doesn't explain why my brake light stays on.
Could it possible be an electrical problem? Has anyone else had a similar problem? I need some more suggestions if possible. Sorry for such a long post but was trying to give everyone some perspective of what I have done to my car so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks funk. The button is still attached that keeps the brake lights off when pedal is not pressed down or in use and appeared to look OK. Me and a couple of guys checked last night to see if my brake lights stayed on after the car was off and they were fine. So you're saying the actual brake switch itself is faulty? Would the switch cause my car to take so long starting?

Checked all my wires running from my alt and starter today and all had a good connection even test drove the car and still the same problem. Anything else I can possibly check for?

Still sounds like a faulty alternator to me. Check it again.
