starters dont have ground wires.

alternators should put out 13.5+ volts

sounds like somethings not wired up right.

Actually I'm going to upgrade to a alt off a Nissan Quest. It seems that my electric fans constantly running and HID are putting a strain on my new alternator. Hopefully that will fix my problem. I checked all my wires and fuses and they are fine. Thanks for all the input.
