do what you can afford. more importantly what you like.
S13's are nice, cheap (for the most part) and replacement parts interior and exterior can be found at any LKQ nearby.
S14's are usually more expensive but can be said by any owner that they feel a lot more VIP when they're in one. lol
but like Silvia said. if you go S13 option S14 KA's usually have lesser miles and would be a good substitute for your prehaps blown KA that you will get.

cause you are a fanboy and all fanboys need to learn something or another about a s13

 

S14's are usually in better shape then most s13's out their ... If you want a daily driver a S14 might be a better choice (Because it's better and they are less likely to fall apart)... if you want a track/weekend beater get a S13.
