stock ka24de hp support for turbo
Im just wondering how much a ka24de can take with brand new fresh rebuild but using new oem internals. block and head fluxed and hot tanked also all crankshaft balenced and rotated.
the most i've seen on stocl internals is i think 450hp to the wheels iirc. really it all depends on the tune, and that how that guy was able to keep his motor at that kind of power with stock internals for two years.
IT ALL UP TO THE TUNE!!!!!!
IT ALL UP TO THE TUNE!!!!!!

Id rather spend the extra 800 to get good rods and pistons. That way you know your set for good hp. And if u wanna be really safe, for 450 you can get a rebuilt head with arp studs and a Cometic head gasket.
or you can buy an online manual on how to use the universal search method in forums.

the general rule of thumb is
a completely stock KA can handle 10 pounds without any ill effect.
at 10 pounds, you'll be making right around 300HP. (depending on the tune)
I know alot of guys run 10 pounds daily and bump it up between 15 to 20 pounds on the weekends/at the track. Thats supposed to put you closer to the 400-450 range.
It really depends on the tune when it comes to day to day reliability.
Longevity depends on how hard you beat it how often.

Also remember, it depends on what motorsports you are into, drifting being the worst, since the engine has to be at high RPM's for a long period of time. Drag in this case will be a little less beat, since its around 11 15 seconds at a time. personally, i would just build it. Make it better and stronger.
