i was raing a Scooby wagon, and when i got to 118 my car wont go any faster, but its not like the gov feeling i had on my KA it dosent just shutoff but it wont go any faster, im only ar about 5,500rpm... is this usual? of is there something wrong? thanks for the help guys

 

That happends to me also and it could either be the gov or a fuel cut .... Correct me if i am wrong ....

 

i think its a fuel cut... when i hit my gov at 115 with my KA it would just like shut off, with my sr i get to 118 and it just like...its hard to explain but it dosent cut just dosent sound like it wants to go faster... how can you get ride of the fuel cut?

I've never had an SR that fast, so I wouldn't know.

 

I feel your pain. Its the worst feeling in the world when you drive away from someone and you hit 120 and they catch you and pass you. Its a feeling i know all too well. Im pretty sure that SR motors cut ignition not fuel (if im wrong feel free to let me know). There is a way around it though you just have to disconect you speed sensor and od position sensor from yous tranny.

 

How are you going to have a speedometer if you disconnect the speed sensor?The right way to do is to get a romtune and have them remove it or move it higher.

 

 

disconect your 4th and 5th gear sensor on the transmission, its not through the speed sensor.
