fix it, replace the bad sensor
get rid of it, disconnect the battery, count to 20 and hook it back up (counting to 20 not required, you just want to make sure that the ecu has enough time to forget everything...)

are u using auto ecu still? usualy the wiring takes care of it, but if its the crank position sensor (which im sure it could be since its obd-2) u can just unplug it. or plug one in if the tranny has the hole up top for it. its diagnostic only so no worries except the annoying light.
