This thing will be a beast. Looks like your doing everything the right way. The hardbody was the best looking small trucks back then. Had one myself. Good luck and keep us updated!

 

No, a stock floor would not change the height of the floor in relation to the cab at all, same amount of head room, but the truck body would rest on the ground, but doing this you need to rebuild the frame rails under the cab atleast so that they are smaller height wise. Its not as difficult as it may sound, just measure 4 times and cut once lol and have good welds.
and well everyone has to start some where, just a few years ago i didnt even know what a welder was lol - mike

Those were the days!! There were only couple of us with SR's in cars and only one SR truck!

 

Haven't had lots of time to work on it, but I'll try and get some more pics up.

Yea man, those WERE the days. Now I hear SR's all over the place... Can't really blame people. They are great motors.. Jus a little worried about future availability. Japan is a small island....

I was driving on 275 one day when some hillbilly in a S10 w/ 350 pulls up to my right. He had a loud exhaust and was making it apparent that he needed his ego crushed.. Three or four times we raced resulting in the guy disappearing in the rear view.. everything was great until i decided to race ONE LAST TIME. I was pulling ahead when I misshifted from 3rd to 2nd.... I didn't have the money at the time to rebuild, so I parted everything out.. sad, sad day..
