it depends on how much of it you want to take off.

the front part of the pulley will come off with 6 10mm bolts but the other two pulleys in there you have to take out the crank bolt. i believe its a 27 mm. idk much about using impact guns but i know a breker bar with maybe a lead pipe extension should get it off for you. thats what i used.

and no, theyre not opposite threaded

we are trying to replace the front main seal...
we have to remove the whole pulley right?
how do you keep the engine from turning when you are taking the pulley off?

Impact gun and socket, 1-1/16 fits close enough to work perfectly. then you need to get a Pulley removal tool to get it off the shaft.

if u dont have an impact gun get something like a pry bar or something that u can wedge inbetween those little little holes on the pulley have someone keep it from moving while you break that nut loose. this is the harder way but it does work.

or you can just put it in gear (5th) and have someone stand on the brakes while you muscle it with a breaker bar...

I did it by puttin it in gear and ebake on. what i used was a 36" 1/2" breaker bar and a nice long pole. someone keep pressure on the socket so it stays striaght and doesn't strip, the other person pulls on the pole.
