Let me ask ya, what kind of tape did you use to mask of the lettering? I've tried this personally in the past and have had no luck.

The vc has been heat treated and ive worked with this stuff b4 and u gotta kinda just take care of it like u do with regular paint......Ive learned this over time............Ive already got like 5 ppl that want me to do theres for them.........I cant wait to grad from highschool so i can go to uti and really get my hands on this stuff

^^^that's a pretty cool color. i'd like to dress my engine bay up a bit but i'm not really into color themes for mechanical parts. if anything i'd get a satin aluminum type finish or possibly polished.

why risk painting the letters with a brush CHROME? when you sand down the letters they will be shiny, sling some clear coat over it all and you'd be good to go.

Haha. Someone beat me to it.

Both covers look hot.

It's funny. I got started with cars in high school by detailing and then polishing valve covers. Now, years later, I'm all about function. If you've seen the jeep, you know what I mean.

Keep up the nice work,
Matt

the base coat is a aluminum ish color...and its easier to apply than the overcoat...you could be done in an hour...
