Held the first Saturday of each month. If there is an important Nissan related event or holiday that I didn't think of, let me know so we can move it. I checked and it doesn't seem any of these are major holidays or conflict with any other meets (Though the February 3rd meet might be the date the BIG Nissan meet is held).

Times:

There really is no set in stone time. Any times I have gotten there before 9pm, no one is there til after 9, and anytime I get there 9:30 or later, I hear people have been there since 8.

So the time I will dub "official" is 8:30pm.

This just means that hopefully we can start getting people there between 8:30 and 9pm. This might change between April and September, as the daylight savings kicks in, and we might move it earlier to take advantage of the daylight that sticks around til 8-8:30 (by possibly moving the time to 7:30 or so). This will depend on how it works out.

Where:

Parking lot closest to the street at the Best Buy on the east side of Dale Mabry, just north of I-275, same parking lot as Wal-Mart.

Rules:

1. Respect others. Leave the drama at home and/or online. Do not talk smack or insult others' or their cars in front of them. We all have our opinions on personal car styling and whatnot, try to keep them to yourselves during the meets. They are street driven Nissans, not show winning Ferraris.

2. Respect the location. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO LITTERING! Take the trash to the containers over at walmart, best buy, or mcdonalds; or take it home. Everytime I go there are piles of trash, even from people I wouldn't expect it from, so please try not to get the Best Buy managers pissed off too much.

3. Respect guests. If you've gone to one at this location, by now you probably realize there are Volkswagens, and a few STi/Evo/Audi/Porsche people there sometimes. Read Rule #1 and apply it to them. Most of them are cool (at least they aren't Hondas right? j/k ) PS - If your Nissan is broke, you can come in whatever car you choose, just don't expect everyone to bow down to your rusty beater

4. No loud stereos. This is never much of a problem with us, but just putting it out there for any noobs. Chances are not everyone likes your tunes anyways. Same goes for revving up in the parking lot. And trust me, diagnosing, fixing, or "tuning" does not require bouncing off the rev limiter in neutral.

5. Burnouts, drifting, and gross displays of horsepower. Absolutely nothing in the parking lots or on the way in or out. No burnouts or drifting whatsoever, on the highway either. There's entirely too much traffic for you to Initial D across 4 lanes with or cloud up with cheap tire smoke. BUT, once you turn North on Dale Mabry, if you want to "get on it", you're more than welcome, but that's between you and Tampa's finest if you get caught. Last thing we need is seeing someone leave our meet and destroy their own or an innocent car around them.

That's it for rules. If you can think of more, let me know. Basically don't be a dumbass, and try to meet newbies and make new friends...wander around and look at cars, talk to people you don't know. Be a community, not cliques.

Went to the event last night. Wow there were more VW's than Nissan's. The weather was actually better than the S chassis meet that morning. Hopefully next month will be better. It's never good when the Damn vw's which actually think they have a car worthy of tuning like to call us out on it
