Just throwin this out there... But what about the Florida Mall. I don't know what your thoughts are on having an event in a mall parking lot, but there is obviously enough space. Even on busy days, the have multiple vacant lots, especially close to the hotel located on the grounds(The Florda Mall Hotel And Conference Center) which could serve to be very convienient to the teams that drove so far already...

Yeah....after looking at Lakeland....the meet has to be in O-town...period. My big draw is bringing the drag guys down to have a shootout of sorts. From the Lakeland Center...it's an hour and 20 mins to get to OSW....

but only 45 min to bradenton from lakeland lol. my focus is having the northern guys come down, ive given up on trying to make everyone happy. im rational and know that not every 240 in existance in FL will come. if it's not huge, fine. i'll have my fun with the guys. once we get a set date/time/place, im pretty sure people will come. bill ill pm u my # and AIM. i know you're in charge, but i wanna try to help out as much as i can, i just wanna see it happen, no matter what the size scale.

 

Not a problem....the rest of the guys at XAT will hopefully be there so....that's all that matters.

And Dan.....in charge is a tag I'm not sure I'm comfortable with...lol. How about "go to guy"....hahaha...I need all the help I can get so...let me know if you come across something.

this is sweet guys. Honestly, IM down for wherever. I think Orlando would be a great place to have it.

 

Here's a park I found online....seems really nice and I spoke to the girl yesterday and she said depending on the number of cars...we could either park in parking area....or park in thier "overflow" parking area which is grass. I like it cause it has huge pavillions for coooking food!!

Also mapquested it and found it's about 30 mins away from OSW...which is a plus....and from thier...there are a hadful of hotels in the area for those needing them.

Well.....if I can get some of the larger items (food, an actual place, and most of th sponsors, along with lodging taken care of)....I may move the date sooner. That would make it more appealing for the out of staters come down as well.......
