KA Overheating?!?!?!??!
well after being an idiot and opening the cap when the motor was running got me splashed with warm/hot water.Shut the motor off refilled till the radiator stopped sucking the water down.Started the car back up turn the heater on and blistering hot air came out.I think im in need of some e-fans now

well if it stays cool when you're driving, and it overheats when you stop...thats obviously an airflow problem. If you have access to a high speed/velocity industrial fan, try idling with it blowing through your radiator. If both hoses are hot and the radiator has no spots on it that are obviously cooler than the rest, and you're not losing coolant...i'd say its deffinitely airflow. Check oil for coolant and vice versa though man...headgaskets on the KA's love to blow.

188,000, but the motor isnt miss firing at all, the only kod it throws is the knock sensor.A couple of my buddys think swapping the coolant temp sensor might help get a proper read

It could. I've had head gaskets run awesome but overheat after 10 minutes of driving. they could idle all day but the load created too much heat and eventually ran the temp gauge straight to H.
