Trogdor ran 10W30. When I tore the motor down, the bearings were beautiful. End of discussion. Some of you kids aren't even old enough to know who the fictional character is, let alone the car.

10-30 is what i use.
I wouldnt go with synthetic because most likely it's not engineered to run synthetic.
What's the difference between diesel heavy motor oil and common motor oil?
Seems like the same shit, but the heavy duty oil cost like $3 cheaper.

tru. I just put in the Royal Purple 10W-40 because there was no 10W-30 @ pep boys, and they were the only people left that were open that sold RP. Hopefully nothing happens, but I know im definitely doing 10W-30 next time, and im most likely buying it from Mastro because they should have that weight. Thanks for the info guys!!

What's the difference between RP and Castrol or Penzoil when it comes down to motor oil?

If you aren't running synthetic in your engine, I have to wonder if you truly care about it.

Who's more likely to fuck up the motor: Not using higher performance motor oil, or the driver?
