He's asking what needs to be swapped/modified to make it happen, not if it ever been done.

Simple, ill lay it out for ya

S14 KA remove Intake and Exhaust mannifolds, Swap Knock sensor and oil pressure sensor on block.

S13 KA remove Intake manifold and Exhaust manifold and sensors.

Swap the parts to the S14 KA drop it in the car.

Now Swap the Dizzys as the S13 has an external coil and the S14 has an internal coil. All is done weekend swap. I did mine in reverse S13 ka into an S14 chasis.

very simple.... as all your sensors are mainly on yoru intake mannifold.

The engine istself is EXACTLY the same EXCEPT for the years in the S13 chasis the KA had a Single row Timing chain and The year they S13 had hotter factory cams. other than that the blocks are identical

the reason some people dont swap intake manifolds now is because the sensors that are required will still work, but i know the design of some of the plugs (coolant temp sensor comes to mind, maybe one of the iacv ones too) are different, s13 coolant temp uses plug with that stupid wire clamp thing (looks like an injector clip or z32 mafs style clip) where as s14 uses a tab depressed connector. ive never kept manifolds, i just found it easier to swap them, and take care of welding things shut while they're out.

i've never heard of the s13 having a single row upper timing chain though. even sohc's have double row.

and all s13's had the 240/248 camshaft combination except 1994 models and late late 1993 models when they used the new batch of motors with the 232/232 cams and the scv were ditched as well.

Yea ill have to look up the year But they had a single row upper timing assy. When i ordered my timing chain set they asked me which i had which threw me for a loop. Then i looked it up and came across directions on Jim Wolf technologies with pictures of it.. Ill see if i can fid them again. And i wasnt sure about the Cam profiles per years that why i left it vauge !! Other than these things the engines are identical. Lemme see if i can find the shit about the Chain setup.

Ok after a quick search The other versions of the KA as for the pathfinder, altima and the 720 some of them have a single row upper timing chain. It keeps mentioning t he z24. The 240SX version seems to be primarily duel row. BUt there are variants that are Single Some even mention doing head swaps and swapping out timing sets. Food for thought and research, i just remembered seeing a Single row timing set for the KA

I bet it was a single cam KA too, huh?
Very rare option for S14
