My sr runs beautifu up to 4k rpm ahd then it just keeps poping and dosent really increase in rpm... and ideas? n when it does that it smokes a lil bit????

no it hasnt always doen this

 

it seems like the smoking somes and goes when it wants to.it wont smoke and when it will for like 15 seconds. n then it will stop for a fiew minutes n then it will go again.

 

Popcorn style means you are running lean and you are detonating. I would guess a boost leak. Be careful not to destroy your pistons with the detonation.

 

hey Mike, stop by, should be a simple problem.

 

check your spark plugs. post up how much boost you are running and I can tell you what to gap the plugs too. Also pressurize your system to check for small boost leaks. It sounds more like pre-ignition than detonation to me but you never know. check your fuel pressure regulator on the front of your fuel rail and make sure the vacuum line is hooked up to it.
