Ok i would like to know if im the only Sr20det where the engine cuts off at 120? I HATE IT !!! and how do i fix it?

 

no your not the only one. I was told thats fuel cut that causes that problem.

idk but has anyone tried to cut the speed sensor wire coming out of the transmission and run some wiring and a switch so u can turn it on and off. i know if u cut the speed sensor line that it wont read speed on the cluster. b/c if it is a fuel limiter than it is not worth doing this.

 

120mph is too fast nobody should ever go that fast. lol You can unplug the speed sensor and go past 120mph but you wont have a speedo. There is from what I was told a yellow and black wire you can cut going into the ecu that will remove the limiter. Search and research.

 

why would you want to go anywhere near 120mph?

i thought you were just able to unplug 5th gear sensor (and 4th if u have one) and be fine with it. but not sure on that.

besides if you're trapping 120 in the 1/4 mile, you should be deep into the 11's. which 98/100 SR's arent.

 

i would like to woop the occasional corvette going faster than 120 on the interstate. i guess that is just me though
