No cpmression doesnt really mean its blown... If the chain has jumped or snapped and the 2 and 4 cylinder has no compression the timing could be off. Or a valve has dropped or bent. Id chck your chain before you do anything else. S13 ill put money on the tensioner is stuck, you say its old oil ? is it sluggy ? if so yuo could have a clogged tension the hole is only a pin size hole that sends oil to it. If you were at a higher speed and the tensioner came loose and you skipped teeth on the crank then all the timing wuold be off. The top chain really wouldnt move. My S14 motor did this. Bearing Shavings got in the oil passage clogged the tensioners chain skipped Engien just shut off and turned over and over and over. It wasnt enough to destroy the valve train as the KA isnt a Zero Tolerance engine. Ima vote chain . I dont see 2 order'd rings dieing at the exact same time. chains are easier to check then ripping the head off. chain kits are also 100$ vs 400+ for an engine. and Make sure when setting yuor timing that yuor using the right mark. I found an error in some FSM versions and Online manuals MY FSM says the TDC is the lowest Mark on teh Crank RED mark and the online ones like Jim wolf say the Second to the to is TDC...
But zro compression is either timing or valves.

 

so check the chain as in how?? the thing with the car is.. it appreas that there was a new cam put into it.. the exhaust cam is shiny and not all burnt... as the otehr one is black and ugly.... the chain is also new... we r leaning towards a bent valve..... i appreciate the info.. we will see how things go..
