Thats what I have with 12.5 mm lift. Crower Cams FTW with the most aggressive lift possible. 355 foot lbs of torque @ 8000 rpms, 382 lbs. @ full boost 4600 rpms on my setup. Freak motor? I think so.

deatschwerks injectors aren't that bad, only the old ones sucked before they got their better flow machine last year.

crower cams break in 4 pieces on hondas but hopefully these new "brian crower" cams they have out will be better. ivan uses them on his 700+ KA, they produce great power, but they still sound close to stock (i want pissed off loping).

still tossing ideas around, wish someone would just tell me to TRY the 10.5 pistons on boost, just to see what it would do. fuck hondas do turbo with 12:1+, i know it can be done.

dan... 13.5:1 alchohol motor on boost. 8:1 AFR.. Fuck everything. I can dig up a formula that takes into account octane rating vs optimum cr.. too much cr and you have to back so much timing out to run right that you make less power than on same boost more timing less cr. It's like a bell curve and unfortunately for us 93 oct has a optimum of 9.3:1; if your motor is fairly efficient (decent quench area, etc..)... I've run crower cams on 4 400-550rwhp SR's with good luck.. guess just adding brian to the name makes everything better As far as deatchworks... they overheat man.. cut apart a 550 nismo or tomei.. it has twice as many windings on the coil as a deatch reworked 270 or 370. After about 6-7 back to back 4th gear rolls on the dyno they start leaning in AFR's quickly. Been there done that, won't sell them again.

word. yeah im gonna just go with the 9.5:1 (stock compression) pistons from arias or 9:1 cp or supertechs or something. that will happen later on. i just dont see the need for 8.5:1 since i dont plan on running 30 psi i want powerband and response with about 400ish at most really. (on pump if possible )

thanks for the headsup on the DW's. i have the 600's and while i havn't done any back to back testing, my wideband and scott's tune don't show any leaning out when i run it hard. i might test that, and end up finding some tomei 740s then. DW's ARE just reflowed stock injectors anyways after all. im thinking of the crowers, these look to be pretty nice, not sure whether i want v2 or v3 yet...v2 allows stock valvetrain and i dont have any need to go past 7k for now (maybe 7.3-7.4k at most). i think brian crower is the son? maybe he is putting his name on them for import/newer vehicle purposes since the original name crower has been around long.... dunno.

have u logged water temps on those dyno runs you back to back? i assume they should be fairly consistent as to make sure the dyno fans are working good. but i take your word for it. one day when i get some dough, ill come your way for a build or something

oh sorry for thread hijack

Just back from the track with a new best time! Only new mod was the driver mod (aka HachiBill) who was able to beat my best time of 13.4 on his first run with a 13.3 first time ever in the car then blasted out a nice 12.9@111 with a 2.07 60ft. Gotta give it up to Bill for coming out with me and showing me how to actually drive my own car! Horray Bill...and Horray good driving skill!

dan,
no thread hijack... i think this thread got there long ago.. i just like talking technical with people that know their stuff the whole injector thing has been known for a while.. it started when I built and tuned a guys SR for road race and he kept coming back because his AF's kept creeping after about 2mins of open track. Scott called me during one of his tunes and asked about this same situation. I don't use them anymore and he doesn't recommend or use them either... but as long as you are a healthy bit under the max duty, which 600's are good for about 400rwhp maxed.. then you have no worries. bring some coronas over and step into my airconditioned motor build room at my house and we'll bust out the big $$ mitituyos and put together a monster KA

lol. sweet. yeah the only issue i remember about DW long ago was they were flowing less than their stated rate on paper, due to his old machine. my brother and i received the first few sets of injectors from his new flow machine, so ours are good for now (well his are for sale - parted out his car). thats what i think scott told me too after i got mine about having problems. this might be a newer problem with the heating up issue though.

my dash and main harness are on the floor next to me ditching stuff, relocating etc etc. when i get it up and running again (and i will!) ill stop by xat one day and say hey since ive bene there like once lol.
